What does a $2-million dollar fender-bender look like?
Yesterday, comedian !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . And in typical New York City fashion, got into fender-bender immediately after driving it off the lot.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , you would imagine that the universe would at least give the guy a break. Unfortunately, chaos took the form of a distracted driver of a Honda CR-V. She apparently decided looking at her phone was more important than driving her SUV.
The even crazier thing is that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . All she knew was that immediately after the accident, Tracy Morgan stepped out of his Bugatti to bang on the woman’s window while screaming “Get the [REDACTED] out of the car!”
While I’m sure that was scary, I don’t sympathize with her. The NYPD officer on the scene reported that she did not have the right of way when the incident occurred. Whether she was on her cell phone or not when the incident happened, I have zero tolerance for distracted drivers. Plus, it’s a $2-million dollar fender-bender ! I’d be pissed too !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , only to have a distracted driver immediately hit my car!
I hope she has good insurance!

Why am I not surprised a Honda driver obliviously ran into someone?
![]() 06/05/2019 at 12:43 |

It’s usually a clapped-out Camry for me. Kid you not, every time I call out a bad driver, they’re almost always in a Camry.
It’s like a memetic contagion
or something.

It’s always Toyotas, NA Subarus, and Honda CUVs around here. Odyssey vans and Ford CUVs are a close 2nd.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 12:47 |

either a Fucken Toyota camry/corolla or a F150 here

As much as I like Tracy, I can’t comprehend why someone would spend so much on such a dated design. It’s not new and it’s not vintage. It’s just boring.
I'd still kill to own it, but I am one of those poors.

I’m impressed. I think that’s the first article I have seen that didn’t call a 2012 Veyron a “brand new car.”

Who is tracy morgan?

Whenever I am alongside a CRV/RAV4 or Sienna/Odyssey, I hover a hand over the steering wheel hub to be ready to use the horn. Camrollas are also up there.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 12:59 |

I’m usually ready with the horn and ready to take evasive action.

I wouldn’t want to be the distracted driver in about 2 months when the insurance company says they have made their full payout and there is still 1.5 million to go before the Bugatti is fixed. Good luck!

An old SNLer.

I can’t tell if he’s actually talented, or just crazy/ridiculous.
Either way, it’s a terrible thing to spend $2mm on.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:06 |

I don’t think its gonna cost that much... maybe 100k
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:07 |

I mean, those things don’t depreciate so...
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:10 |

I only read the post and it seemed to indicate the incident was going to cost 2 million. You are probably right though and the cost of the Bugatti itself was only 2 millionish

This one did.

I’m in the Bay Area. Almost everyone sucks at driving.

“ I can’t tell if he’s actually talented, or just crazy/ridiculous.”
Guy grew up in the projects in the Bronx with a heroine addicted father, and now he can buy Veyrons. I’d say it’s a healthy mix of both.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:19 |

Bumper repairs generally don’t cost as much as the MSRP of the new vehicle.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:19 |

I think the car doesn’t matter as much as the fact that this was his dream car and some asshat with a Honda decided they needed to turn right “ LIKE RIGHT NOW!!!” while they were in the left lane.

The Bugatti is two feet tall. She looked right over the top of it. And her insurance limits probably wouldn’t cover an oil change for that car.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:21 |

He’s also “lucky” to have been almost killed by Walmart.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:22 |

Well, it was brand- new to Tracy Morgan. Now it has some NYC miles on it in the span of 30-minutes!
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:23 |

Do you know this film? This scene? In a minute, Big Crime Boss is about to get at the younger guy. “So, you think I’m funny ?” Who is the younger guy to Big Crime Boss?
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:25 |
|
Yeah, that was a bit of sensationalism on my end lol. Actually, it’s more of a joke about have fast it took for someone to hit the thing in NYC. It’s almost as if Morgan paid $2-million just for a fender- bender.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:27 |
|
That’s still
an illegal right turn though.
I can’t see the road markings, so I don’t know how far over the driver actually is. But I think if they were in their lane before the incident occurred, they
might
have been able to see the top of the Veyron.
That’s all speculation though.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:29 |

They paid for the whole limo apparently. I personally know someone who was nearly killed by a truck driver, who didn’t see their car when he started backing up.
Scary shit. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Goodf
ellas!
Joe Pesci was genuinely scary!
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:37 |

She never saw him; looked right over the top of him.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:38 |

Does he pull his gun and blow the younger guy’s brains out?
What I find chilling is how much Crime Boss reminds me of President Trump in that short sequence.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 13:39 |

And “lucky” to have his friend killed in the accident.

Ehhh ... forgot about that part...

Yes - very scary.
Makes me think of that recent tragedy in Colorado...

Makes me wonder: Who is the worst celebrity driver?
![]() 06/05/2019 at 14:01 |
|
If I remember that scene correctly, it turns out Tommy was just messing with Henry Hill. But the fact that he could switch between happy and joyous to
smashing your head with a bottle
is genuinely what made the character so scary.
Reminds me of some family members actually lol.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 14:04 |

Wait, what happened in Colorado ?

That year/model CRV has a camera on the passenger mirror that turns on when you put on your right turn signal. Makes it even more ridiculous that the driver didn’t see / wasn’t paying attention. It’s not a BMW, the turn signals actually work.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 14:09 |
|
Totally honest: I won’t watch the film because I can’t handle the violence and mayhem. But that thirty seconds was brilliant film making. The entire scene, I couldn’t finish watching. Chilling. Brilliant because Pesci genius wise captures the insecurity that would have to drive a man in his position. Which is why he reminds me of Donald Trump.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 14:09 |

Well, Matthew Broderick killed a mother and daughter while driving on the wrong side of the road in Ireland , so I think that takes the cake.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 14:10 |

Now that it’s been in an accident, they have an excuse to repaint it in something other than that puke beige creamsicle color. It may go up in value if they do.

It’s terrible, but he spent $2mm on it, so it’s probably the color he wanted.
It was an Uber?! Of course.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 14:13 |

I’m not sure this is it, but all car owners that drive with speed-deployed wings up at all times deserve some kind of punishment.

Jesus fucking Christ!
That is genuinely horrible. I could literally feel that dashcam footage.

Seven years and not yet 17 00 miles. Amazing to think that the tires will need to be replaced because of age, and not the 2,500 mile limit.

Agreed....however it wasn’t up in the video as he leaves the dealership. He may have put it up during his 10-block drive, but maybe it deploys in an accident? (Doubtful as this wasn’t an airbag-inducing crash).

The woman is now claiming he hit her (of course).
![]() 06/05/2019 at 15:01 |

The worst thing is the CRV driver didn’t even get a ticket for making an improper lane change or turn.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 15:02 |

The police probably looked at the car she hit, laughed, and then decided to give her a break.
She won’t need a ticket after her insurance hikes her rates.

WI is no different.

I’ll be honest... I don’t know who Tracy Morgan is.
![]() 06/05/2019 at 19:29 |
|
Although let’s be honest - most people who buy these kinds of cars don’t buy them because the way they (the cars)
look, but because the way they make them (the driver) look.
Although something about a lime green Veyron does have a nice ring to it...

Comedian and SNL Alumni, Tracy Morgan was second to Bruce Willis in the buddy-cop comedy Cop Out, directed by Kevin Smith.
In 2014 Tracy Morgan survived a near-fatal car crash when
a Wal-Mart truck collided with the limo he was riding with several fellow comedians;
including James McNair, who was sadly killed in the crash.
